Molly & Mikey’s wedding at Tickton Grange, East Yorkshire
Molly and Mikey’s wedding day had an energy that felt totally effortless, full of fun, and completely authentic to the couple. From emotional moments in the morning to the laughter of bingo before dinner, their wedding was pure joy and everything we love about capturing real, natural moments.
With both Molly and Mikey getting ready at the venue the morning was really chilled and we had the luxury of popping between preparations with Molly and her girls as well as groom preparations with Mikey and his guys, seeing all of the moments along the way. A standout moment was been there to document the first time Molly’s parents saw her in her wedding dress, there was not a dry eye in the room!
Molly and Mikey had also given each other gifts to open in the morning, again this was such a heartfelt moment but also with plenty of laughter as Molly received a bag of M & M’s as a nod to the couples names! These little moments are what wedding days are all about for us, nothing forced, just real moments.
A Ceremony Full of Love and Laughter
Tickton Grange was the perfect setting all day, the ceremony taking place in the Rose Room which looked stunning with the most beautiful florals by Greenwoods Florist. There were quite a lot of children in attendance which was really cool, Molly and Mikey tailoring the day to be really relaxed with a family focussed feel. Children always bring an extra energy to a wedding day, some extra unpredictability and always extra laughter when you least expect it!
Confetti, Portraits & Bingo (Yes, Bingo)
With Molly and Mikey officially married, their guests showered them with natural petals which had been collected and dried by the couple themselves which was a cool touch, we then took the opportunity to get a few family group photographs while everyone was together and on their feet. Then came something very untraditional in the form of a pre-dinner game of bingo. Absolutely genius touch! It had every single guest and all ages engaged leading to some brilliant, unexpected moments which were fab for photos.
Tickton Grange is fantastic as it has really varied spaces around the grounds. For portraits, we took a relaxed wander, finding woodlands, long grasses and also the garden pavilion along the way. Molly and Mikey are just brilliant together, we gave a few little prompts along the way but this time was really just about them having some time together and been themselves. We were not out for very long at all but captured so many beautiful interactions that really show who these two are!
Dance Floor Joy & Disney Magic
To round off the night, Molly and Mikey’s dance floor was everything you could wish for, classic tunes, plenty of shapes, and even a few Disney classics that had both kids and adults singing every word. Lots of twirling from the girls and also some top-tier dad dancing, it was the perfect way to end an incredible day.

Couldn't have asked for better
When we were choosing our wedding photographer we were quite nervous. How do you know how to choose the people that are documenting the most important day of your life! But straight from the get go Chris and Rachel made us feel comfortable. After having an initial video call, it was clear they weren't pushy, and they were willing to answer my many number of questions perfectly, and understood the vision of what we wanted to capture on the day. We were sent a questionnaire closer to the wedding date, which not only helped with their own needs but also the schedule of the day etc for ourselves. On the day they were both so helpful and welcoming, some guests were even surprised they weren't friends of ours personally. The photos we received captured so much more than we could have imagined. We got a brilliant array of photos for our "Sneak peek" within 24 hours of the day, and I couldn't believe how amazing all our photos came out. I don't think we'll ever be able to thank Chris and Rachel for the magic they managed to capture. The effort and work gone into everything they did for us is priceless! We would recommend them to anyone looking to book a photographer.
